Current chair Walt Martens called the meeting to order at approximately 7:00 PM at the Christian County Resource Management Building located in Ozark, MO
Dale Roller led the membership in prayer
Current Secretary Bob Hackett Completed Roll Call and a Quorum was established with Proxy Validation for Joyce Burns (Pat Hackett) Annette Meyer (Wanda Martin) J D Melton (Susan Yarnell) John Brown (Daphne Brown)

Open to nominations for Chair – Nominees were Walt Martens and Ken Spangler each nominee was given a time to speak and Ballot was held: Walt Martens was elected Chairman

Treasurer’s Report: Copy of treasurer report for August 18, 2020 will be emailed as well: Julia Maples presented treasurers report - Due to Covid-19 the April, May, June and July meetings did not occur.
Beginning Balance was $6,075 and Ending Balance was $6574
Revenue Received. $1544.15 Interest, Candidate filings collected $640.00 Committee donations (Eric Burlison- $500.00, Dale and Cathy Roller Family- $100.00, Bob and Pat Hackett - $100.00, Steve and Julia Maples- $100.00 , Joyce and George Burns $100.00
Expenditures - $1045 (Postal, Memberships, Trump signs, etc.)
Chairman Martens presented there was tie vote confirmed by the County Clerk for the East Benton Township Committeewoman between candidate Bonnie Palmer and Rhonda Haynes each receiving 35 votes: Per state statue 115.613RSMO & 115.617RSMO if a tie occurs the position becomes vacant and will be elected by the committee by vote. Per CCRCC By- Laws section 3 item – C – vacancies left after Primary election shall not be filled until the 2nd meeting after the Primary Elections. Chairman asked for motion to suspend the by-laws Section 3, Item C. Motion was made by Ken Spangler and seconded by Dale Roller – Discussion occurred with differences that Rhonda Haynes had commented she did not want the seat since her husband was not elected and comments that she did. Rhonda Haynes was not present to confirm. Vote was called and motion to suspend the by laws failed.
Wanda Marten has secured the Russel Stover’s building in Ozark located at 1951 W. Marler Ln. Ozark, MO current plan is to be open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and will have Trump signs for sale and State and Local Republican signs available as well. Persons interested in purchasing Donald Trump items is recommended to visit the website- https://www.donaldjtrump.com/
Currently no upcoming events – Ozark Duck Race has been cancelled as well as the Billings Fair and Ozark Craft Festival.
Walt Martens cleaned out the CCRCC storage building to save on rental cost and has placed all the items in his barn and will provide an inventory of those items.
Motion was made to adjourn and breakout into the Legislative Committees Lynn Morris current State Rep , – 140 legislative district, Jerod Taylor – 139th - Responsibilities of Committees to Elect chair, vice chair, & secretary .

NOTES FROM CCRCC MEETING ON 2/25/2020
Chairman Walt Martens called the meeting of the CCRCC to order.
Secretary Pro-tem Cathy Roller called the roll. A quorum was established.
Dale Roller led the prayer and Les Overall led the Pledge of allegiance.
Chairman Martens welcomed all officials, candidates and visitors. There were 2 visitors, 2 city officials, and 5 county officials present.
The January minutes of the CCRCC were voted on and approved.
No treasurer’s report due to Julia Maples being absent. This report will be given at our next meeting on March 17, 2020.
Old Business: Jon Brown was voted on to be the committeeman for Rosedale Township and was approved.
No presentation of candidates to fill vacant townships.
State Lincoln Days on February 21-22, 2020 report was given by Dale Roller. He stated he saw several CCRCC members + state officials at the meeting. Listened to all the state officials stating they were working together to get things done for the good of the state. Saw Kelly Ann Conway telling everyone we were in good hands with President Trump and get out to support the Republican Party.
Wanda Martens reported on Republican State Committee. Meeting was held Saturday morning at Lincoln Days and stated the people were a cohesive group working together. Two resolutions:
Voted to raise filing fees for State Offices. Would not be on ballot until fee was paid and if candidate was undesirable then the fee could be refused.
St. Louis caucus has a total of 203 total delegates. Changed to meet in each precincts.
Chairman Martens stated the Trump Campaign would not be funding the signs for MO this year. Yard signs would be $10.00 each. We would be able to reproduce the 4 x4 and 4x8 signs.
Events Committee Report given by Wanda Martens. Lincoln/Trump Day will be May 23, 2020 6:00 PM at the Elk Lodge in Ozark. Speaker is Mike Kehoe, Lt. Governor. Presale tickets-$25.oo and at the door will be $30.00. Want to help decorate be there at 4:00 PM. Need lots of auction items to support buying campaign items (yard signs, caps and etc.) for the election.
NEW BUSINESS:
Candidate filing began today 2/25/2020 and runs through March 31, 2020. Committee members were encouraged to file.
Presidential Primary is March 10, 2020. Chairman Martens is working on obtaining a state list to check off names to identify Republican voters. He stated this would involve committee people going to voting places and listen for names to help with this process. MOTION MADE by Thom Taylor stating That the CCRCC work on getting a group of 12 people to work only 3-5 of the largest precincts manned by committee members or reliable Republican people for 3/10/2020. Motion seconded by Ken Spangler. Motion passed with 3 opposed.
Discussion: Some of CCRCC members work the election and would not be able to help out. Photo ID’s are used and names are not called out. CCRCC members working would have to be in the background and not interfere with the election judges. This process require a structure to follow and training.
Chairman Martens is going to contact Charlie Dalton and Nick Meyers about this process then get back to the committee.
COUNTY CAUCUS ON 4/4/2020:
Chairman Martens set up a motion to appoint Credentials Committee with Thom Taylor second. The committee will consist of:
Dale Roller- head of the committee
Cathy Roller George Burns
Sigi Hill John Bross
Kay Brown will provide 4 tablets to register by using photo ID. Using photo ID will tell whether registered or not. Must be registered by February 12, 2020. Once signed in the true Republican will receive a wrist band to vote. If no wrist band cannot vote and will be in the visitor’s section. Outside doors will be locked at 10:00 AM. No business can be conducted until the Credential committee reports to the secretary then to Chairman Martens. During this down time, County officials would be able to talk to the audience. There will be a second break in which the people running for office could finish talking.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE Minutes for January 25, 2020 Chairman Walt Martens called the meeting of the CCRCC to order. Secretary Bob Hackett called the roll. A quorum was established. Dale Roller led the prayer and Ken Spangler led the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Martens welcomed all officials, candidates, auxiliaries, and visitors The November meeting of the CCRCC did not have a quorum, so no meeting occurred. There are no Minutes to approve. Julia Maples gave the Treasurer’s Report. The beginning balance was $3,405.15. Monthly payment to Pack N Stack for February, $40, and $150 to the Elk’s Lodge for upcoming Lincoln Day. The ending balance is $3,215.15. Jon Brown was introduced at a candidate to fill a vacancy in Rosedale Township. He will be voted on at the February 25th meeting. Sub-Committee Chairperson, Wanda Martens gave a report on the upcoming Lincoln/Trump Day. She is still working on getting our speaker for this event. The date for the Lincoln/Trump Day may be changed. An email will give details at a later date as to date, time, and Speaker. State Lincoln Day will be February 21-22, 2020 at the University Plaza Hotel in Springfield, MO. Presidential Primary will be March 10, 2020. Chairman Martens stated that we were unable to get the Resource Management Building for our February 18th meeting. Therefore, our next meeting will be February 25, 2020 at the Resource Management Building, Ozark. The meeting was adjourned.
